We are delighted to announce that Geeks have been successful to beat a very difficult competition to win the award for Best B2B Solution, and also Best Innovation in Digital Experience at the UK Digital Experience Awards 2014.

The awards ceremony was hosted on 9th July at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London with over 200 representatives from other finalist organisations. This was a brilliant achievement as we were up against many leading organisations including big companies such as BT, SKY, Barclays, RBS, Nationwide, Monarch, Ticketmaster, TFL and many more.

Best B2B Solution Award

These unique awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the use of digital media channels to provide excellent customer service. Geeks were acknowledged as offering the best B2B Solution for demonstrating business rationale and innovation in their creative approach as a digital initiative to meeting customer needs.

Judging by customer insight into how these needs were met, and the standard of employee/customer engagement, Geeks have been recognised as using excellent time and budget management as well as staff engagement to continuously deliver outstanding customer service.

Best Innovation in Digital Experience Award

Whilst all of the finalists were recognised as leading organisations in the digital industry for creativity and innovation, but Geeks stood out to win this top prize above all competition.

What made Geeks different was invention of a breakthrough software called VisualSpec™. It enables UX experts and system designers to visualise customer requirements for any new software application or website project. This approach enables both parties to effectively communicate, document and express the requirements about 8 times faster and more efficiently than was possible before. VisualSpec™ solves an age-old problem of the IT industry in relation to requirements ambiguity, and so it's a massive enabler of success.

Choosing the Winners

Winners of the awards were decided by a judging panel of over 50 industry practitioners. Each of the finalists from the 11 Categories presented their entries to the judges in the morning, with winners being announced over a sit-down meal later that afternoon. There were over 200 people, including singer Heather Small, celebrity ambassador for Barnardo’s.

Neil Skehel, Managing Director of Awards International, congratulated the winners of the 2014 Awards, saying:

“We are delighted with the best practice showcased by entries received for the UK Digital Experience Awards. We have seen some shining examples from companies who are at the forefront of using digital technology to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Today gave us the opportunity to acknowledge those companies and celebrate with the finalists and winners.”

All funds raised from the event went to Barnardo’s, and Sponsors of the Awards included Usability247, Rant & Rave and Spectrum Insight, with the UK Digital Experience Awards partnering with Customer Experience Magazine, Cranfield School of Management, Global Reviews and Awards Systems.
